My name is Kirk W. Knutson. I grew up in Missoula Montana, where after high school, I chose to serve our country for (6) years as a U.S. Marine.
After my service in the U.S. Marines, I worked as the manager in the development, start-up, and operations of a new food grade potato starch plant for Penford Food Ingredients, in Wisconsin. While serving as the food plant manager, I also graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Steven Point in 2000, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Political Science.
Wanting to get back to the Northwest, my family and I came to Salem, Oregon in the summer of 2000, where I graduated from the Willamette University College of Law in 2003. My primary focuses in law school were in the areas of Business and Debtor-Creditor Law. While in law school I served as a bankruptcy law clerk with Gunn & Gunn in Salem.
Upon my graduation from law school, I became an associate with the Law Offices of Rodolfo A. Camacho (later named the Law Offices of Camacho & Knutson).
While serving as legal counsel for numerous clients in the areas of business and bankruptcy since 2003, I also served for over (16) years as the staff attorney for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustee. Due to my vast years of experience working with both debtors, creditors, and bankruptcy trustees, I have been privileged to obtain a unique perspective as to what each side is looking for, how to best resolve issues between the parties, and how to avoid the many pitfalls that can exist.
In May 2021, I chose to join the Law Offices of Alexzander C.J. Adams, as in my years as an attorney and especially in my role as the staff attorney for a bankruptcy Trustee, I have come to know Mr. Adams and his staff to be true professionals, with a level of integrity often times missing in today’s world, and the goal of assisting their clients at the highest level.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, serving in my church, and playing golf.
